Fall of 2018 was my first semester of my industrial design eduction in the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston. It was a fundamentals semester and included so many various learning experiences which not only apply do education, but all aspects of life. These are those lessons.
- Don’t dwell on any projects
- Don’t be afraid to pivot an idea
- Fail Fast
- Be aware of your weaknesses
- Build a daily schedule for yourself that works for you
- You have done something completely or you haven’t done it. No middle ground
- Commit to a design process
- The tough or boring parts of creation is all part of the process. You have to deal with it in order to get the right product.
