Fall of 2018 was my first semester of my industrial design eduction in the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston. It was a fundamentals semester and included so many various learning experiences which not only apply do education, but all aspects of life. These are those lessons.

  • Don’t dwell on any projects
  • Don’t be afraid to pivot an idea
  • Fail Fast
  • Be aware of your weaknesses
  • Build a daily schedule for yourself that works for you
  • You have done something completely or you haven’t done it. No middle ground
  • Commit to a design process
  • The tough or boring parts of creation is all part of the process. You have to deal with it in order to get the right product.
